Amit Shah Switches to Zoho Mail, Announces New Official Email Address

Indian Union Home Minister Amit Shah has changed his official email address to Zoho Mail from Google. Zoho is an Indian-made email service providers. He shared his new email ID as amitshah.bjp@zohomail.in and asked people to use this new address for any type of communication. This change is part of the government’s effort to support Indian technology and reduce dependency on foreign companies to answer Donald trump.

Zoho Mail is developed by Zoho Corporation, and this company based in Chennai that was started in 1996. The company provides a secure and ad-free email service that is very popular among businesses and government departments in India.

Zoho Mail uses strong security features, features are like end-to-end encryption and spam protection with two-factor authentication available to keep emails safe.

And it also stores data only in Indian data centers, which helps protect privacy and meet government rules and regulations.

Amit Shah’s switch to Zoho Mail follows a similar move by other ministers and officials who are also adopting Indian digital tools for their daily work.

This reflects the government’s “Digital India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat” (self-reliant India) programs, which encourage the use of locally made products and technology.

By using Zoho Mail, the Home Minister is promoting Indian innovation and sending a message about trusting Indian technology for secure and sensitive communication.

Zoho, beyond email, offers other software tools like office applications and a chat app called Arattai that has built recently. Many government officials have started using Zoho’s platform to reduce dependency on foreign software, especially amid global trade tensions.

Amit Shah’s shift to Zoho Mail is a clear step toward supporting and trusting Indian digital services. It highlights the government’s focus on digital independence and security while encouraging others to opt for Indian-made technology solutions for official and everyday use.
